Gilmer was reporting some 28 and 29 gusts. I feel better about myself. Really tough to see the water on starboard tack in the late afternoon sun due to the NW wind. For a lot of the day, the wind chop was coming from two different directions: 1) W down the fetch from further down the lake and 2) NW from the wind over the Three Sisters Islands. It made the water a bit of a mess and not much to play on given the fairly strong wind.
Made the mistake of not respecting the forecast and got to rig and derig the 6.9 and bigger board that I thought I might use until it cooled off a bit and the wind hit the water. Saw spray come off the white caps a couple of times.
Good to see Langdon on the water again as well as Barrett, Gene and Chris Pyron.

Only 2? That's too easy. Just wait a few months and you will find chop (with or without wind) coming from almost every direction on weekends and holidays.
