About The Atlanta Boardsailing Club

The Atlanta Windsurfing Club was organized in 1978 and is one of the oldest in the country. We are a member of the US Windsurfing. We currently have about 100 individual and family memberships from the Atlanta area, North Georgia and quite a few from out of state- ranging from Maryland to Florida. Our membership ranges from beginners to avowed shredheads, from kids to retirees.

We have:

• Monthly Meetings the second Tuesday of each month. See our events page for this month's time and location.

• For those who like to compete, a racing series including two major regattas: The Inland Windsurfing Championships in the Spring and the Fall Classic/Senior Nationals in the fall (of course). This year will be the 22nd annual running of our fall race.
• We host two charity sailing events each year raising money for local charities. In the past years we've raised close to $1000 each year.
• We also organize trips to Florida, Atlantic Coast and Cape Hatteras.
• We have a Learn to Windsurf Clinic each summer and invite new sailors to join us. Experience and equipment are not a requirement. Most members simply enjoy recreational sailing with friends on windy days at the lake.
• Our annual end of the year Holiday Party.
